Complex chemically reacting flow simulations are commonly employed to develop quantitative understanding and to optimize reaction conditions in systems such as combustion, catalysis, chemical vapor deposition, and other chemical processes. I had to do some CVD simulation for my company, and I had no CVD background and very little fluid background. So this review comes from a relative novice in the field.
