Waterfront Structural Engineer


Waterfront Office Locations – Norfolk, VA; Jacksonville, FL, Oakland, CA, Long 
Beach, CA; San Diego, CA

Seeking candidates to fill a mid-level to senior-level Waterfront Structural 
Engineering production needs on both US coasts to support immediate and multi-
year contracts.  Candidates will be considered for location in one of the above 
listed waterfront design offices.  Civil and Structural Engineers with 
waterfront structural design experience in the specialty fields of: military or 
commercial ship mooring and berthing design; bulkhead design; dredging; pier, 
wharf or seawall design; underwater condition assessments or waterfront facility 
repairs are encouraged to apply.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
Minimum 5 years experience with CBC, IBC, UFC, or Caltrans design experience
Current California PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
Fluent speaking and writing in English
Must be a US Citizen without criminal convictions preventing them from obtaining 
the necessary security passes to work on Federal or Port projects.
Must be able to travel for occasional out-of-office assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

7-plus years of experience
SE licensure
Experience with seismic building design, bridge design, and/or scuba or surface 
supplied diving
Bridge inspection certifications
Working knowledge of CAD and/or Revit 
Travel requirements:  Up to 10%
