INTRODUCTION 

INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY in 
association  with FLUENT INDIA (www.fluent.co.in), the 
worlds leading supplier of computational fluid dynamics 
(CFD) software and services presents SONIC 06, Symposium 
On Novel Ideas in CFD, a proposed National Level Symposium 
on Computational Fluid Dynamics. 
The event will encompass a wide range of topics related to 
Computational Fluid Dynamics. Eminent guest speakers, 
academic and industrial professionals and students from 
all over the country will be invited for discussion and 
brainstorming.

OBJECTIVE 

To create a common platform for people from all aspects of 
CFD to discuss wide range of topics on CFD. The purpose is 
to bring Industry and academia together, to share their 
expertise.

 EVENTS FOR SYMPOSIUM  

PAPER PRESENTATION : 
We invite technical papers on following topics. The papers 
should be strictly related to CFD.
Participant/s can be any Professional in the field of CFD, 
academic scholars and Graduate / Post
Graduate students. The competition will be held where the 
selected participants will get an opportunity
to present their ideas and prizes will be awarded for the 
best paper.
 

GUEST LECTURES: 

Eminent people working in field of CFD from Industry, 
Research Institutes, Academics will be invited to speak on 
different topics. 


MATHEMATICAL MODELLING CONTEST: 

This competition will involve participants to create 
mathematical model of some interesting problems. Best 
solution will be given prize. 

AERO-MODELLING 

Aeromodeling is art of design, building, and flying 
miniaturized aircrafts. 

If you are the one who believes in “Sky is the limit” then 
here is an opportunity to let your imagination to soar 
high. 

This competition will require participants to create and 
build small models of airplane.  The model will be judged 
and prized based on certain pre-defined parameters. 

POSTER EXHIBITION 

In this participant will get chance to exhibit their ideas 
with help of drawing board, posters, electronic 
presentation.
