FEA methods will be touched on as well, but CN's recent 
work on design point optimization while also balancing off-
design performance is the central topic. Although much of 
what will be presented is in its early stages, the results 
and engineering impact suggest a very strong potential that 
CN would like to share with the turbomachinery engineering 
community via this Webinar. Comments on optimization solver 
choices and current understanding of them will be provided, 
as well as presentation and discussion of results and 
computational resources. If time permits, additional 
results concerning impeller optimization may be included 
that discount historical blade loading rules.
