This event brings together users of CD-adapco STAR-CD software and es-ice engine simulation products, provides a forum to hear about the latest and forthcoming developments and examines technical issues of interest with other users.

This workshop includes a number of invited presentations including:

  • CFD-Based Upfront Combustion Systems, presented by Yangbing Zeng, General Motors
  • Investigations on Particle-Induced Pre-Ignitions in an SI Engine, presented by Michael Heiss and Thomas Lauer, Vienna University of Technology
  • A Comprehensive Approach to Model Knock-Tendency and Cycle-Resolved Knock in SI Engines, presented by Stefano Fontanesi, Giuseppe Cicalese, Alessandro d'Adamo and Stefano Paltrinieri, University of Modena
  • Soot Modeling for Engine-Relevant Conditions, Dan Haworth, Penn State University

In addition to these presenters, many of CD-adapco’s IC Engine experts and support staff will be available for further discussions throughout the day.
