The 2nd Elmer User Meeting will be organized on May 29-30, 2008 at CSC, Espoo, Finland. All Elmer users are invited to participate in the seminar, and also to give a presentation related to their modeling work with Elmer.

A day before the User Meeting (28th of May) there will be a basic training course in the use of Elmer. The course is intended for persons with no or little prior knowledge of Elmer but some background on the solution of partial differential equations. This course will be the first public showcase of a totally new preprocessor of Elmer. Also more experienced Elmer users interested in the new preprocessor may find the course useful.

The 1st day of the user meeting (29th of May) will consist of lectures given by the developers and users of Elmer software. The seminar strives to provide an informal meeting place for Elmer user community and the development team. A number of contributions have been confirmed, but if you're interested to give a presentation there is still room for more contributions.

During the 2nd day of the user meeting (30th of May) there is a possibility to get hands-on help in the use and development of Elmer software components. This day is targeted for more experienced Elmer users and for those traveling from longer distances.

The deadline for abstracts and registration for each day is on May 10th 2008. For more information look at Elmer web pages in and the News section there in.
