Prism Layer Mesh resulting in unwanted Pyramid Elements

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to create a layered volume mesh around a simple wing and for the most part it is working well, except for some unwanted pyramid elements. I've tried messing with the settings when creating the layers, but I can't seem to avoid creating some pyramid elements in the process. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm using ANSA v15.0.0. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi there

You probably have the option "collapse" on
which means that ANSA bumps up to some problem
(intersection, proximity or top cap quality ) and
therefore collapsed locally some prisms into pyramids
or tetras.

If you de-activate the collapse option and try
to grow the layers again, ANSA will probably stop
at some point and will create a SET of the shells
where it found problem to generate the layers from

Hope this helps
