How can I judge if my mesh is good? I got:

**********************
* ELEMENTS * QUALITY *
**********************
* 1 * 0.27 *
* 5 * 0.31 *
* 26 * 0.36 *
* 252 * 0.45 *
* others * more than 0.5
**********************

HEXA: 20.000 elements

you need to see icemhelp manual for quality. there are about 45 parameters for judging mesh quality.

your mesh 'Quality' values given by ICEM depends from element to element. As I see it's a mixture of tetra/prism/hexa elements, you need to check other parameters as well.

Again it depends on Solver too.

Personally, I'd like to check aspect ratio, orthogonal quality, skewness, mesh expansion factor etc.

It depends on your solver and the type of elements.

For example, determinant is very important for hexa elements, but not very relevant for tetra elements.

You should have a look to the user manual of your solver for more informations.

It hardly depends on the problem. In some areas good mesh quality isn't very important, but you need to make refinements in areas of interest.
