Gambit and ANSYS DesignModeler
 

Hi all,

I have a geometry in a .dbs and an .iges file format. Is it possible to import either of these file formats into ANSYS DesignModeler and modify the geometry/sketches?

I need to delete some existing bodies and add on to others.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can import .dbs file into DM, but have no idea, whether you can modify it or not. However you can edit/modify IGES files

Hi Far,

Would you be able to give me some pointers as to modifying a .iges file. I am currently just right clicking on the Geometry tab on the workbench and importing the .iges file. After that I am not 100% on how to modify it.
