Copy geometry then copy mesh

Hi,

I've been learning the button 'transform geometry' and 'transform block'. I copy the geometry firstly then the block when I translate the geometry then block. Sometimes the pre mesh result is like picture 1 (the pre mesh at the copy is the same as where I copy from) and sometimes the pre mesh result is like picture 2 (There is block and geometry but the pre mesh shows nothing. I'm confusing why.). I'm wondering how to have result always as the first picture? How to avoid pre mesh shows nothing? ( No mesh at the new geometry at all. Even there is block inside. )
