Volume meshing

Hi people.
I'm learning to use ICEM CFD and my teacher gave me a hard task (for me). I have a cylinder, and he wants a mesh but not a "constant" mesh. He would like if I could make , in one side of the surface, a larger mesh, and in the other side, a smaller. Also, in one side to the other, it should vary sweetly. Do you know what I mean? Well, I divided the surface in 4 surfaces and configured the sizes of each one, making a small size at one side and increasing it as it goes to the other side. Unfortunately, as the mesh goes to one surface to the other, the sizes change abruptly. I wonder if someone could give me a hand.
Thank you very much, Pedro.
