unwanted pre-mesh inflation around Ogrid

Hi,
What causes the inflation around few of the Ogrid blocks in my domain? The inflation is circled in red in the attached picture. A lot of other Ogrid blocks are just right without inflation, just like the upper Ogrid block on the picture. Everything is right-angled above, below, left and right of the Ogrid block, why does the inflation occur??? My edge-to-curve associations are correctly done. Any help would be appreciated. François |
May be vertices were moved at the wrong place and consequently wrong edge to curve association was done........

Here is the same area with the vertices displayed and 'Edges\Show Association' turned on. The associations look good to me, please correct me if I'm wrong.

this can happen if your edge is linked... or maybe i minor bug. Try to click on update all under blocking tab. see if it can fix it. or unlink the edge....

I have a similar problem. However, in my case the inflation is desired. But it is only occuring on some of the edges.
On the attached picture, you can see the smooth mesh on the left and right side. Downwards, there is a step in the mesh at the block edge. Does anybody have an idea why? I tried to the "update all" option and I manually removed the linked bunchings, but all that did not help. |
Your internal edges are not associated.
Your picture in your 2nd thread shown it : the curves are blue, not green. If you want to avoid that, associate ALL the edges to curves, even the internal ones. |
The edges on the sides are not associated either and they do have the desired shape.
If I have to associated the internal edges, I have to create internal curved curves and change their radius of curvature and position everytime I change my geometry or change the location of the vertices. Isn't there a way to do that without association of interal edges? |
Sometimes the shape of the edges follows the shape of the curves on the surface, but inside the volume, it inflates as shown in your picture.
Maybe Simon could answer to your question, but I think you must associate all the edges if you want the desirable shape :S |
