How to block this?

I am trying to block the wing but got stuck in the middle. I know how to block a simple wing with O-grid and C-grid but this wing has a special feature that it has a slot on the wing tip near the leading edge region which is giving me trouble to block the wing tip region. Blowing will be done from this slot in the tip region, so this portion needs extra mesh density and needs to be put in the separate block I guess. Kindly give me suggestions how to tackle slot on the wing tip while blocking. Thanks

wow, that one was really difficult. you need c-grid (far field), o-grid and y-grid (leading+trailing edge) and two other o-grids for the slot.

but i finally got the right blocking approach. you've to adjust some edges to get reasoable angles, but that should be a work of some minutes.

sorry, but don't have the time to do this.

Sorry, I haven't seen this thread yet. But in my opinion, one of the most important thing is to work with the index, to stay on top of things.
So if I do my ogrid or y-grid on the wing, I use index and just display required blocks.

What I'm trying to say is, that it's very important to have a well-structured working method (at least if you've to deal with several c-grids, o-grids and y-grids).

Not until then (at the end), I adjust the outer edges with "move vertex" functions (to improve cell angles, det. etc)

Maybe, I could do a video about my working method if required.

I checked the blocking but there are so many cuts, the things in wing tip region are all messed up and it is very difficult for me to undestand. energy382 can you kindly explain me step by step procedure how you did it or kindly post a pic of every step if possible....

i'm sure there is a better alternative to the y-grids behind, christoph's method is way better than this one.

Thanks but you didn't take care of slot on the wingtip, the O-grid you put is crossing the slot which is not needed instead slot needs to be put in the separate block. Actually slot is creating trouble otherwise its very easy to block a simple wing using C-grid or O-grid

If O-grid will be crossing the slot then how you will control the no. of nodes on the edges of slot? That's my understanding that if we manage to put slot in the separate block then it will be the best topology, what you say?

i have full control of number of nodes in the slot. as you can see at the edges that will be associated to the slot...

Ok nice but can you explain how you did it and how energy382 did it? I mean what's the difference?

energy382's method is difficult... i tried blocking same way without any success. mine is just an o-grid. and using index blocking to filter and split just the block that contains the slot.
