Meshing problem in GAMBIT

3 Attachment(s)
I am planning to simulate the heat transfer from water passing through pipes inserted in ceiling of a building. But, while meshing the faces on GAMBIT, some faces are not getting meshed. Can anybody help me with some advice about how to mesh the model attached below? The unmeshed faces are in red.

Please... Help awaited.

No, it is not a closed volume.. walls and ceiling on their top with water pipes.

Hi,

I think your mesh is way too coarse... You should also try to split your volume into smaller, simpler volumes.

Marion,

Sorry to ask you again. Can you elaborate since I am new to CFD and this is my first model I am working on?

can you show us the control volume for this case?

You can edit above pics and roughly draw the control volume in red color around this room.

Sir,

The Contol Volume is shown in the image attached below. Inside volume of the room 3m X 3m X 3m is in white with 2 windows and 1 door in pink.

so the white shows the overall domain. With 3*3*3 volume and 1 door and 2 windows. Will you specify the boundary conditions for each wall, ceiling, each window and door seperatly?

All the Walls will have same boundary conditions..
All the windows and doors have same..
Ceiling will have conditions different from walls and windows...
And Pipes visible on the ceiling are of fibre, that will be first effected due to water temperature, then ceiling and then the walls....
