Difficulties importing *.igs file into ICEM
Hello,
I am trying to import an .igs file into ANSYS ICEM. It is a huge file for an igs extension (300 Mb). As I attempted to do this, ICEM always ended up not responding. It worked with a small igs file (400 Kb) but ICEM hangs everytime I load the huge igs file. I dont think it is a memory issue because I have 64 Gb of ram. Can anybody help? |
it is not a too big file. Did you try the DM? Also wait for the few hours and then check?

OK. All i needed to do was be patient. hehe. The geometry managed to load. But now I have another monkey on my back. When i tried saving the project, it gives me this error message ' Error: Problem saving tetin file. Could not write tetin file "ppp. tin"'. ppp is the name of my file. What is possibly wrong now?

Save in some folder and make sure its attributes are not set to read-only, hidden or system. Aslo make sure that you have administrator rights on that folder.
|
save as a project and try again...
