Default vertex move on the surface of the geometry

hi guys
i have a question,how can i move vertex just on the surface IN icem ? sometiomes,when i adjust the loacation of vertex to meet the geometry,i just think if i can just move vertex on the surface of geometry,i think it is very useful.

in move verticies under the blocking tab, use fix x, y, or z. usually to move on the surface, you need to fix only one coordinate...

thanks ,i am chinese, whicn mean that i cannot see youtue. i know what you see ,but the surafce is three dimentional ( curved surface)
