hello
i am very new to icem cfd. i desperately need help to solve this problem problem: i have a hollw cylinder with considerable thickness of the solid part. i have to actually do the meshing for a hollow gas turbine blade but for simplification iam trying to do it bwith hollow cylinder. consider a cube as control volume the bottom face of the cube can be considered as hub over which cylinder is attached and top face of the cube as shroud. the cylinder does not extend upto the shroud as there is gap between the shroud and blade tip. also consider hot gases surrounding the cylinder entering from one of the faces and leaving from the other. ther is another fluid which is entering into the hollow part from bootom face and leaving from the top.now i have to do meshing for three regions: 1)the fluid flowing through the hollow part 2) the solid part of the cylinder 3)the hot gases surrounding the cylinder. moreover the meshing should be conformal.. please do help me... any help would be deeply appreiciated Regards, sut |
