minimize the number of blocks in the final topology

i have a question,is it import to minimize the number of blocks in the final topology.? why?

In my understanding, it was the requirement of older multiblock structured solvers. But it is no more of concern to modern unstructured solver, as they take the mesh as unstructured and does not look for I,J,K
