[GAMBIT] How to geometry and meshing my model

Dear all,

im kind of new user of GAMBIT and FLUENT. anybody can help me to build this model for me?

i can build the geometry but having problem to do the meshing.
is look like heat exchanger with simple dimension. the fluid flow inside should be crude and the fluid between the inner pipe and outer pipe is water circulation from inlet to outlet.

ok
Now you create a (yz) surface big enough to be sure that it will cut your geometry.
you move it till middle of your geometry and you split the volume.
Delete one half and again shaded mode on, and post picture (you will see how it looks like in your domain)

wait!
your error is simply because you are trying to mesh your volume with hex-cooper.
And for sure you cannot.
Try with tetra-hexcore

ive done meshing using tet/hybrid TGrid..successful..

but my concern, how am i gonna put thing like

Inner pipe - Copper
fluid 2 - crude
Outer pipe - steel
fluid 1- crude

how am i going to set the boundary cond?how am i sure that its gonna be like pic 2 attached. how to make sure that the water flow inlet and goes out to the outlet can transfer heat to the product pipe?

kindly help...im going to present this project very soon and now i really running out of time..

if both fluids are not going to be mixed, then you should have to seperated fluid volume. Then you need to define a fluid zone at both domains (but not same fluid zone else the solver will understand it is only one fluid)
For heat transfer, I have no experience but look at shell conduction http://aerojet.engr.ucdavis.edu/flue...e253.htm#33058

do the trick with cut-plane to see how it looks like in your domain

I am not sure, but I believe you have to disconnect both volumes at this surface. Gambit will create 2 superposed surfaces and you gonne treat them as 2 different layers.

i did the shell conduction...i do have only 1 ting layer between 2 fluid.. but i didnt get the result i want.. the temperature still not influence the inner fluid..its like there is a boundary, a resistance that not allow the temperature distributed inside the fluid..

any idea?
