Can I keep some bodies freezed before meshing?

I have to create multibody part, in which those bodies are in contact. However, when I create them they merge by default into one body...the only way I found to keep them as separated bodies is to freeze some of them...but when I unfreeze them later after I finish they merge again.
My question: can I keep some bodies frozen and finish building the model and then go the meshing application? in other words, do I need to unfreeze any frozen bodies after finish modeling the geometry i.e. before going to the meshing ?
If not can anyone tell me a way to keep those contacted bodies separated (not merged)?

best regards

It doesn't matter if the are frozen or not when you are meshing

Right, when in doubt, try it out. ;)

I will try it for sure
but my question there will be no problem if I kept some bodies frozen and some active?

No, Josef was right. It doesn't matter in the mesher.
