Design Modeler: Split faces

Hi everybody,

I am trying to make a simple 2D model and I need 3 independent bodies next to each other. i make 3 different sketches but when I create a "Surface from Sketch" they combine to produce a single body. I need the bodies to be independent!.

I tried with "Split Faces" but somehow it doesn't work.

Thanks for your help

when using the surface from sketch, did you try selecting not the boundary of the hole model but the each surface alone...

Yes I do the "surface from sketch" in the concept tab from each individual sketch

No solutions?

Do you actually have three different sketches in the model tree or have you just sketched three shapes in the same sketch?

A screenshot of the situation?

Always the same question...

After creating the "surface from sketches", you have to freeze the created bodies (extras -> freeze).

Now there should be 3 different bodies in the project tree. Select them all, right click and select "form new part"

Now you are ready to go.

My interpretation is that the bodies are supposed to be independent next to each other, ie not touching. But if they are touching, then yes that is the answer.

Yes they are touching and yes that was what i needed. Thank you very much!
