Importing Multiple Meshes

Hello,

I have got two domains. I want to mesh the one domain with ICEM CFD and the other one with the cfx mesher.

Then i want to import the created meshes in Ansys cfx. The Cfx Pre User Guide says that i can import multiple meshes by right click on the mesh branch in the tree view / Import mesh and then multiselect the mesh files by holding CTRL-key. But actually this doesn't work. It just lets me select one mesh-file.

How is it possible to import more than one mesh in a cfx-module?

Thanks in advance! :)

There are many methods to do this.

The simple method:

1. Make a new case > General > Ok

2. In the left panel, right click on mesh > Import mesh> select mesh type (e.g. ICEM, CFX etc)

3. Again right on the mesh and import the mesh

4. Set-up the boundary conditions as appropriate.

Ok thanks this works. :)

But when i import the second mesh, this mesh is quite bigger (factor of 1000), though the models come from the same CAD-part file and in ICEM the length units (right-click on model/geometry units) are both on mm.

Am i still doing something wrong?

change the units while importing the mesh which has problem or right click on problem mesh and then go to transform and change the units
