HI all,

i meshed a nozzle in ICEM cfd , but the quality is not good.

what should i do?

thanks in advance.

Add at least one or two splits to your blocking.
Maybe adjust the edges of the inner O-Grid to optimize the quality.

Slightly more complicated CD nozzle meshing is discussed in this thread.

if the elements are too squeezed, try splitting edge by spline...

thanks Far,

the problem is that my geometry is made from 4 curves.
i mean i first import curve points to Catia then i use revolve tool to make the nozzle.
could you please take a look at my geometry and tell me what should i do ???
thank you very much.

regards,
meysam

I agree.

I just made few splits and snaped vertices and every thing is fine. By the way, are you going to make the far field?

yes.

at first step i want to mesh just the nozzle.

then i will create a cylinder around the nozzle, and will mesh the volume between the nozzle and cylinder.
