Grid dependency study
Hi Friends
I have a fluid flowing over a cube of metal..and I have to mesh them in such a way that I have very less number of elements on both zones say upto 10,000 and I have to do grid dependency study...So can someone help me how to do that and also is it possible to mesh the fluid zone alone and solid zone alone..?? Kindly help me.... |
Hi!
You can mesh them separately and in the solve you should define mesh interface. To to this divide the geometry in two parts, (solid and fluid) in each delete the other part, generate the mesh. For instance for the fluid one, delete the solid part of the geometry and just mesh the fluid part and vise versa. |
Hi Asal
Sorry I dint get you...Is it possible to do like that..?? so I have to create two meshing module and then connect both of them into one Fluent setup module or what..?? See the problem is I have a solid cube and above it fluid is flowing....And the thing is I have to mesh both and also if possible structured meshing...and very less number of elements...so how can I delete one part..u mean to suppress one part and do for the other..?? but in the setup module of fluent how will both mesh come together...??? And what will be the interface I have to give..???Thanks a lot... |
