Hey everyone,
In my project , I have created a 3d geometry which can be thought of as a thin pipe bent in the shape of the rectangle,i.e., a closed loop.
While meshing, Ansys is able to perform the default meshing operation but when I try "Mapped face meshing", it shows around 3-4 errors. Is "mapped face meshing" applicable in this case?Could you clarify as to what is "mapped face meshing ?
Any help would be great.Thnx

There is a help section about mapped meshing. If you share your geometry we might be able to give you advice concerning your specific case.

I would use the Method called Multizone. If that's your geometry it will handle it nicely:

Bingo, that's my geometry and the "Multizone" method worked well giving me a good mesh. Thanks
Anyways, could you tell me why Mapped face meshing was not working(just for curiosity)?..
