Dear all,

I suppose to Import a DWG form
at Geometry to ICEM due to i want do CFD modelling base on a existing AutoCAD model.

I was tried to import it to ICEM.

my steps are:
Import Geometry----DWG-----slecet my dwg foemat file-----but it appeared

Tetin file U:/Testing Model/Revit-Testing/CAD/Project1-3DView-{3D}.tin does not exist

Any expert know why it is going wrong?

And what is the right way to do it?

Thank you very much for your time and valuable advice.

Best wishes,

Sky

Hi Zi,

Try with "Workbench Readers".

File -> Workbench Readers -> Autocad (*.dwg, dxf) -> Select your file -> open....

Tell us if it works :-)

It is asking for a tin file to save to.
did you not click the save button when it asked for the tin file?

Hi zi,

I donīt know if itīs the proper way to import CAD models or not... but I always work with CATIA and I always use this option instead of import geometry. I can chose if I want to import lines, points, surfaces from my model or simply the solid parts.
