I have a fluid simulation problem where I have a triangular channel inside an aluminum cylinder (Basically like someone drilled a triangle all the way through a cylinder). When I go to create my inflation to make a boundary layer, I select the three faces of the triangle which runs for 15 cm (sides are 0.85 mm, 0.85 mm, 0.76 mm).

My inputs for the inflation are:
Scoping Method: Geometry Selection
Geometery: 1 Body
Supressed: No
Boundary Scoping Method: Geometry Selection
Boundary: 3 Faces
Inflation Option: Smooth Transition
Transtion Ratio: 0.25
Maximum Layers: 15
Growth Rate: 1.2
Inflation Algorithm: Pre

I get the following error: "Pre-inflation layer generation is stopped because of side face limitation, proximity collisions and quality."

Afterward, the mesh shows no boundary at the face. I have tried messing with the parameters, but havent had any luck.

Could be that the triangle is to close to the cylindrical wall, so the inflation layers won't fit.

If you share your files it's easier to pinpoint the issue

I don't understand. The fluid is flowing through a triangular shaped channel though the cylinder. It is touching the cylinder. This would be the same as if it were a cylindrical pipe with a circle drilled through it instead of a triangle drilled through it.

Can we get a picture of it at least?

Picture of the geometry (basically a pipe filled with water shaped like a triangle)

Try decreasing your body sizing so you can get a better transition from prism to tet
