Dear all,

I have a problem with a wind turbine blade meshing. And I found that there is something wrong with the original geometry. Can you guys guide me how to repair this geometry?

As you can see from the picture 1, there are some negative mesh at the trailing edge, I guess the reason for that is the original geometry internal edge collapses, the edges I mentioned has blue color.

In terms of the geometry, after I import the IGS or STEP file, you can see from the Pic 2 and Pic 3, that the face is not consistent with the outer edge, but with the internal ones. The topology does not change when I delete the outer edges. It still has a gap between the face and the outer edges.

Hope you guys can help me! Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Ye

Hi mate,
about pictures 2 & 3, maybe the problem is tri tolerance, which is only visual.
Try decreasing "Tri Tolerance"; search in forum and you'll get where it is.
And about first picture, geometry sharing is welcomed...

Dear sadjad,

Thanks very much for your reply. Do you mean that the geometry is good and only to decrease tri tolerance? I am sorry I have little knowledge about repairing geometry....

Best regards,
Ye

Dear Far

Thank you for your advice! But I do not think the problem is to show full surface, the picture I listed is the option that shows the full surface. I followed the @sadjad's advice, and the result seems good until now.

Thank you both guys!

Best regards,
Ye

If it is visual effect then there is no need to do any thing. Just create mesh and if it follows geometry sharply then you are ok. Otherwise playing with tri tolerance will help you.
