extrude volume in ANSYS Multiphysics

Hello everybody.
I have a problem with ANSYS multiphysics and i need to help.
Let say i have 1 circle area, inside this area, i have a smaller square area. I want to extrude the circle area first then call that layer 1, and i want to extrude the square area on top of layer 1 and make sure that box (after extrude) can connect with layer 1. How can i do that? Please help me. Thank you very much

Sweept mesh of two bodies in contact

Hi.

DesignModeler:
You have to split your geometry at the connection area of your two cylinders. After that, you have to define a "Part assembly" (select bodies *right click* "Form new part". Finally, you have to enable the option "Share Topology" to imprint at the interface.

ANSYS Meshing:
In ANSYS Meshing, you have to define two sweep methods for each body.

Thats it. If two bodies are in the same part, ANSYS Meshing will continue at the surface mesh of an existing mesh on such faces, which are shared by both. This results in a mesh with 1:1 connection on the mesh interfaces.

I hope, I understood your described problem.

Regards,
Jan
