Hi
I am facing on strange problem. when i read my mesh file with parallel processor, the wireframe of the model in the fluent shows some disfigured faces,or lines but when i read the same with serial processor my geometry remain the same (means no extra surfaces or lines).Has anybody faced the similar problem. what should be done in orger to run my case with parallel processor. |

when using parallel, your mesh is divided among the number of cores you specified. that's why it looks like that. it divided... meanwhile in serial, that does not happen. Does it answer your question ?

will the geometry(wire frame) in fluent will have arbiturary core? becoz as you say it divides it into cores but how can one ensure that doing this it is not creating some unwanted faces or frames. And if it is normal thing than will my results will be ok. As i have not mentioned cores. Is specifying the core means specifiying the number of processores or it means something different.

Have you tried other domain discretization methods in fluent? If not then you can do so to ensure that the problem is not limited to one method.

i havent tried other schemes. But when i use 1 processor out of 4 in case of parallel there is no issue as soon as i make it 2 it shows unwanted structures as can be seen in the image file. Last edited by dinesh; August 16, 2013 at 03:13. Reason: futher information |

Are you sure that these lines participate in the calculations? In my opinion those lines are just to show the mesh partitions and there is nothing to worry.
