Hello,

I can't seem to find a solution to this, but basically I have a 90 degree bend in my part. For better edge sizing control, I split up the part into separate "fluid" domains using DesignModeler slicing commands, then combined the separate "fluid" domains into a single Part so that the edges are uniform.

However, when applying inflation layers to this 90 degree bend, the inflation layer doesn't go around the 90 degree bend (due to it having 3 separate "fluid" bodies); if I don't separate the body, then inflation works, but I lose edge sizing control. See attached picture for example.

It seems like an easy thing to do and it's odd that it's taking me this long to find a solution. Does anyone know of a way to fix Inflation around a 90 degree bend consisting of multiple parts??

If you are subdividing the body in order to give yourself edge control...

Put the cut on the 45 degree angle (a miter cut)

Or don't cut the model and use the prism settings to control the inflation.

Thanks for the reply! I don't think a 45 degree Miter cut would work for my model (although it is a good idea and might work for other models)!

I guess I'll just have to either not cut the geometry into parts or imprint a line onto the geometry using DesignModeler. I'm assuming printing a line onto a 3D Fluid geometry wouldn't be too difficult?
