Hi guys,

I need some help in ICEM. I splitted a block, but with acticated "index control", so the edges are only splitted in this block, but not in the other adjacend blocks. Please see the picture: "Edge I" is a single edge but is divided into "edges II" and III in the right block. Now, "edge I" has 26 nodes, "edge II" has 12 nodes and "edge III" has 15 nodes, so they add to "edge I".

My question is: How can I change the fraction of how nodes of "edge I" are divided into "edges II" and III? I want more nodes in "edge II" but keep the total number of nodes (of "edge I") constant. Is that possible?

Hey diamondx, great, that worked. Do you also know, where this information (fraction) is stored before I use the linked bunching?

I need to bump this old thread with a new, similar question.
Diamondx showed what to do with the linked bunching. Now in my current case I have a long edge in the middle (as in the post from diamondx) and smaller, divided edges on both sides.
If I set the fractions on the left edges and in the middle correctly, everything is completetly messed up and distorted on the right edges. And vice versa.
Is there any way I can get an equal distribution here?

blocking.jpg

This is a picture of the blocking (black) and the edges (red). Right side is fixed here, left side is garbage. If I fix the left side, then the right side is garbage.
