Hi everyone,
I'm facing a quite strange problem after import a geometry from Solidworks, through the "Ansys Workbench Geometry Interface". Well, and I tried to import by file, and the same continued to happen, so I think is not an import problem. I'm using Solidworks Premium 2013 and Ansys Workbench 14.5 for the study. I also changed the geometry of the "rod end" and the same problem continues. Other "curious" thing is that this problem is random. What I mean by this, is that, the affected rod ends are not always the same, what is making me me ... Some are good, and next time don't. They all share the same geometry and they are exactly the same in every parameter. Let me explain better and with images. After I import and generate the geometry, everything goes well. The geometry matches everything that was in Solidworks model. Like we can see here on this picture: But when I change the geometry using "Boolean Operation" or "Form New Part" features on DesignModeler, so that the mesh can be shared between the bodies of the "New Part" formed, this happens in the same exact body: What can I do, to solve this problem? Is it common to happen? Or in alternative can I do another operation that does not include the use of "Form New Part" or "Boolean" and allows me to share the mesh between bodies (since the "Manual Mesh Connection" command is not available on Mechanical and I don't know why)? Or I have to get stuck to the "Bonded Contact" between different bodies? Thank you in advance for your help and sorry for the bad English! Appreciated! Sky_Line |
