help me pls

Hi i'm modelling a water heater in fluent . I'm very late on my schedule ,so don't have much time for studying all the things. so i need help in meshing my geometry to the minimum skewness. Can you guys please help me??
U can get the files here.

You can mesh this model with full hexa in ICEM CFD. or alternatively you can mesh this model in ansys meshing with hybrid mesh (tetra + prism)

thanxx for replying. I don't know how to use icfm cfd either. It will be really helpful if you can do the meshing for me.

Hi Sooraj,

here you can download a first aproximation to your problem with full hexa mesh. Maybe.. this is not the best approach but... you can improve it from this first aproximation. Hope it īll be useful!! :-)

thank you guys.. but how can i import this mesh into fluent so that i can simulate ??

Far October 7, 2013 05:53

in icem cfd, go to output tab :

1. select solver as fluent v6 or ansys fluent

2. set boundary conditions

3. output mesh

hey guys thanxx for your hlp.I really appreciate it.Sorry about late reply. I could not import the files you gave to fluent or cfx.So can you mesh an .igs file to min skewness so that i can directly use it in fluent ??

is it the same file?

str6073 October 14, 2013 10:04

But we have already posted mesh in the forum

File in .msh format (fluent), but you can read in CFX as well

Thank you buddy for this file. But there's a slight problem . The geometry i sent you, there the tube is sliced horizontally, so that i can give different heat fluxes on top and bottom of tube. But the file you sent, tube is a whole part and i can't give different heat fluxes. Can you please upload the right geometry ?? unit is in millimeters
