repeatability in meshing
Hello guys.
I have a problem in meshing. Once I created some mesh with inflation I tried to repeat it on the same geometry and with the same settings even in the same project in WB but at the validation process Ansys gives me an error message that "Inflation meshing failed". Does anyone know how to manage with this issue? |
Hi blazejpop,
I have the same issues, random errors, completely illogical. If your model is made of several volumes, Ansys told me this: Another “parameter” that can have an influence on the behaviour of the mesh, is the order of volume meshing. The way you have done it the first is probably not the one it has done it with the modification! To avoid this, the best way is to use the worksheet. You will then define the order of the volumes to mesh. I haven't tried this, but I am pretty sure I used the same order for meshing the volumes! Good luck, Marion. |
I'm meshing it with Cutcell method which is "Assembly meshing method" and I don't have an influence on order of meshing.
Thanks for your response and I'm waiting for something more. ;) |
Plesae slice the model and assign the global inflation or assign the body sizing for different volumes and try..
|
Hi.
Model is sliced, body sizing is used. I'll try with global inflation. :D Thanks for response. |
We can't really know what the problem is without knowing what kind of geometry you have and what mesh settings you are trying to use.
The above comments are just guesses, and in no way general solutions to a failed inflation mesh. |
Okay, so I'm going to attach a file with geometry, so everyone could look at it.
I'm using only global settings for sizing and inserting inflation layer on blades of this propeller. http://www62.zippyshare.com/v/97129538/file.html I could also attach my whole project if someone would want it. |
