Hexa-tet merging
Dear All,
I created a tet mesh in one part of the domain and a hexa mesh in another part. Both meshes don't give any error / warning message when checking them. Now, when I merge (edit mesh -> merge nodes -> merge meshes -> merge volume meshes -> merge surface mesh parts) the two meshes at their shared surface, the merging doesn't show any warnings / errors. But the merged mesh check fails with some "Surface orientations ... occupy the same volume" warning. It looks like the tri mesh / pyramid layer has grown into the hex mesh domain. The crazy thing is: I have two of these tri mesh domains that nearly look indentical. One mesh merging works as I wrote - the other one fails. I can't see any difference but obvioulsy there is one... Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason? |
