Default Problem continuing 2D boundary layer to adjacent surface

Dear all,

I'm having problems creating a satisfactory 2D boundary layer. Specifically, the b-layer at the wall is not continued properly to the lines without boundary layer (i.e. inlet and outlet), see attached picture. The max. prism angle is set to 180.
It's noteworthy that the problem does not exist for my 3D meshes.
Any help is much appreciated!
