hexahedron mesh for cylinder

hi
im trying to make hex mesh for a cylinder in ansys meshing. and i heard about slicing in DM , can anyone tell me how should i slice cylinder? i know how to slice, but i dont know which plane i should select to slice cylinder, and after that in meshing, how can i control mesh by edge sizig and which edge i should select for edge sizing? im using ansys 14.0

select edge size of both inner and outer edge of the cylinder totally 4-edges (including bottom edges, assign the map face on one the top surface and generate volume mesh if it's hallow cylinder,

If its solid cylinder then slice the cylinder at the centre like a square box, as attached in figure

Thanx vidyanand, my cylinder is solid and how should i slice the square box? by slicing button in create menu (that i dont know by which operation i should slice), or boolean(subtract) or just make from begining step and make 2 body separatly? sorry im new to fluent

create the plane on the surface of cylinder with sketcher draw the line or rectangular at the middle draw lines diagonally select extrude in the model with slice operation

ICEM can easily generate this type of mesh without manual splitting using O-grid method.

Is this what you need? (attached)
