I can mesh a geometry using mechanical but when i change the physics to CFD I get error saying " The following surfaces cannot be meshed with acceptable quality" even without applying any other meshing parameters. I have tried to clean up the geometry in Design modular but it didn't work.. what might be the reason behind it?

Switching physics to CFD changes all the default values for the mesh parameters. Also, the shape checking criteria will be more strict. It is therefore of greater importance that you have good quality on your cells.
This is case specific, so we can't really give any advice other than to try different sizes etc. Not without seeing the case, that is. |

I imported without cleaning up the geometry and tried meshing. It worked!! So now i am using virtual faces in Meshing for cleaning up geometry instead of face merge in DM. I hope it doesnot make any difference in result.
