Mesh Size (Curve/Edge Bunching)

Dear all,
I am stuck on a problem at the moment: I got a geometry of some vessel bifurcations where the vessel branches have different dimensions (see pic). I thought it might be better not to get a too large aspect ratio and therefore shorten the elements in flow direction within the smaller vessels. Therfore, I tried different things:
