[Other] 2d axisymmetric

Hi everyone,

I drew 3-D cylinder and I am going to draw 2-d axisymmetric of the cylinder. would you please give me some suggestion how can I do it in ANSYS FLUENT?

Take a plan in X-Y and X being the axis of rotation for meshing. Just activate the axisymmetric model in Fluent.

If you loaded a 2d mesh with the correct orientation, you should be able to select the 2d space as axisymmetric in the "General" tab in Fluent.

So in creating a geometry, I should draw a rectangle but in meshing part, I should specify it as a axisymmetric. right?

both in geometry and meshing, you have should x-y coordinates in ( i guess) + x and +y with x being the flow direction and axis of symmetry. In fluent you just choose the axi-symmetric model.
