I am new in ICEM. When I try to mesh the axial compressor' blade, I find a very confusing problem that when I reopen the project, the location of the rotational periodic vertices i have set last time are changed! That is to say, even i move them to the right place and save the project again and again, when i close the project and reopen it, the location is not the right one...I don't know why.
[What I mean is: Firstly, I set the rotational angle as X degrees, and at the first time, I put the two periodic vertices at the right location, but when I reopen the project, the periodic vertices have "moved" by themselves, and the angle is changed to Y degrees(X!=Y, because I find I can not move both of them to the original right locaion).] 1_blade.jpg 2_periodic vertix's original location.jpg 3_the same vertix's location has changed when i reopen the project.jpg Last edited by swm; December 26, 2013 at 11:44. |

One reason maybe you have associated vertices to the one set points or curve and u are moving it to another location and saving it.
And as soon as you reopen, it will find the associated points/ curves and gets aligned to it. If this is the case, dissociate the vertices u want to move->move it->associate it to the new set of points/ curve. Regards, Raghav |

I have checked it and ruled out this possibility. Actually, I associate the edge to the curve, and move the vertics onto the curves. |

Yesterday's description has some problems. Redescription: Firstly, I set the rotational angle as X degrees, and at the first time, I put the two periodic vertices at the right location, but when I reopen the project, the periodic vertices have "moved" by themselves, and the angle is changed to Y degrees(X!=Y, because I find I can not move both of them to the original right locaion). I sent files to you yesterday, you can reset the rotation angle as 8.18°, and do what i said above, the phenomenon will reappear. Thank you for your patience and help.
