Hi to all,

I am doing a unstructured Tet mesh with Prism Layer in ICEM CFD (2.8 Million) and exporting it to fluent.

After reading the mesh I got 2.6 Million elements in Fluent check.I checked with CFX (2.6 Million) also.

why this difference? Could anybody explian me.

Thanks in advance.

ICEM CFD create automatically with 3D mesh 2D(shells),1D(lines), 0D(points) elements too. CFD codes needs just 3D elements.
