I'm trying to mesh a car in ICEM but i have a problem: i' am inserting a body of influence in the domain...if i create the mesh it appear in ICEM properly but when i close ICEM the mesh component display the big question mark and refuses to update because "it requires user input" (it is displaying this message).
The interesting part is this: if i create a standalone mesh component in the workbench sharing the geometry with the main project the body of influence is not even available in the menù!
Any help is going to be VERY appreciated.

siw will become famous soon enough
You say you are using ICEM but your picture shows you are using ANSYS Meshing. Are you really wanting to use ICEM, because it is not been setup with ICEM in your Workbench project?

Make the geometry for the body on influence in DesignModeler. Then in Meshing with the Advanced Size Function = ON use that geometry in defining the body sizing as a body of influence for mesh refinement.

anyway..i think i have solved the problem. There was a problem regarding the mesh connections. Now i'm moving on with Fluent, if i recognize any other problem with the mesh i will write here

i have managed to open the created mesh in Fluent and i have runned some iterations and it looks like it's ok (although the convergence is a bit messy) but if i decide to put an inflation layer in the mesh and running it in Fluent i obtain a very weird behaviour, it does not matter how may times Fluent iterate...every point in the domain have zero velocity...it looks like even the boundary conditions are not satisfied (i.e. cells in the velocity inlet display zero velocity)...any suggestion? thnaks!
