Hi everyone,

I am struggling with mesh in a complex geometry. I must meshing inside the jet engine.

PROCEDURE
- I created a solid body in the shape of the engine that I'm interested in.
- Next i did boolea's operation in Ansys Meshing (my box and engine shape, also solid).
-I generated a grid and it turns out that it was done only on the surface part and it shows two errors:

The mesh faces on the following topological surfaces may intersect with mesh faces on other topological surfaces in the model, Please use different mesh size, virtual topology or correct CAD geometry.

A mesh could not be generated using the current meshing options and settings. Hint: The problem geometry areas might have been highlighted. Switching to wireframe mode may make them more visible.

I use diffrent CAD format including STP, IGS, parasolid, Ipt and allways i have the same problems.

Any idea about how to approach this problem?

Thanks

I would suggest you to import that geometry into ICEM CFD and delete unnecessary details and create additional surface if required.

Please show some pics...

thanks for the reply
ICEM shows the message: Tetin file ..... .tin does not exist if I try import both solids.
mesh should be inside the geometry
