Default Convert two prism blocks into a hex block

Hi

Can someone advise me on how to convert the two prism blocks (5 faces each) into a single hex block, as shown in the picture? I tried merge block but nothing seems to change even though "merge blocks done" message appear in the log window.

go to blocking > edit block > set type > y block

Do above procedure for both blocks.
