Hi!!!

I have a question about modelling.Suppose we have to mesh one easy 2d geometry-say a quadrilateral. Then we split it in two adjacent quads(of equal size) that we wish to mesh with 2 different ways.Say the first one with triangular
unstructured cells and the second with a mapped structured quad mesh.Of course the two faces have to be conformable. So my question is,should I make(in SW and then name it in DM)
2 different surface bodies,so that I have "1 part,2 bodies" or "2 parts,2 bodies"?
I cannot fully understand what is the difference.

I hope I have made my point clear,so that someone can help.

Thanks in advance

if you want conformal mesh on two bodies then these parts should be in one part, if you want non conformal mesh then put it in two parts...

Two bodies and two parts will allow you to apply the different meshing on different parts. But mesh will not be conformal, as both parts are not connected to each other.

Two bodies and one part will allow you apply the different meshing on different parts and also make the mesh conformal at the interface of both parts.

To make one part, just select both bodies and form a new part. You can also use SEW command to form one part.
