When creating baffles mesh gets distorted. How to mesh the inner pipe with baffles ?
Blocking strategies for inner pipe. Pipe should not be removed. Thanks in advance |

Hi Prashant,
You have done the blocking for the outer tube correctly. But you need one more O-grid to resolve the inner tube of heat exchanger (Similar to concentric tubes) and put these innermost blocks in a separate part in ICEM. Not in the same part (FLUID) as that of the outer block. Its good you have used face interpolation to resolve baffles. One more suggestion. It is always good to create the boundary layer O-grid at last, after resolving all the geometry parts. If I am not wrong, you are working on the assignment from the ICEM course of LearnCAx . I really appreciate your efforts in completing the task. Although it is a test or assignment, you can take help of our technical support team at any moment of your learning. We will be more than happy to help you in this regard. Happy Learning !!! Praveen Kumar R |

FYR..
Have placed the ICEM files in 2 separate zip files. Roughly I gave mesh parameters. You can add BLs as per your requirement. Regards, Raghav |
