Hi,
I am meshing an airfoil with unstructured octree algorithm. Already have a "nice" mesh on the domain and I am extruding prisms from the surface to resolve boundary layer. The result is shown here: (https://www.dropbox.com/s/t6aacmaz6q769ow/prisms.png) I don't understand why it seems to extrude higher prism in the front than in the back of the foil. Surfaces are splited just superior and inferior curve of the foil, not in a front/back sense. Does it make any sense to anyone? Hoy can I fix it? Thanks! |

Hello,
It seems that you have some stair stepping (when a layer of prisms is degrading in tetra). I have already faced this kind of problem on an airfoil because there was a sharp angle at the trailing edge. And if there is a fillet, the layers of prisms are well created. Maybe you have the same problem... regards |
