Uncovered Edges in Fluent CFD
 

Hi Guys,

I have a big Problem. I construct a filling system for oil tanks in 2D. Even when I try to export the Mesh, I get the Warning "Mesh has uncovered Edges". Until now I can´t solve it, by merging vertics and blocks :-(. Maybe you have just a little time to have a lock on it :-).

Attachment 1 and 2 show the results of Check Mesh in ICEM. There are problems with overlapping an degenerated blocks (att3). Also your mesh is not conformal in this area.

As I do not know what you did exactly, I just recreated this part of the blocking. First I deleted all problematic blocks permanently, except for block 160. Then I created some new points by projection on curve (att4, lower points of block 160) and added a split to block 160. The vertices of this block have to be associated to the corresponding points. Block 344 can also be deleted permanently. This gives you the structure shown in attachment 5.

Now, new blocks have to be created. Mind the order of picking the vertices (att6). The very left block can be created by associating (to points) the corresponding vertices from VORFN and assigning block 521 to part FLUID. Finally the new edges are associated to curves. Attachment 8 shows the resulting blocking. Btw. single-edges are ok on the boundaries.
